Why PR?

The ability to effectively communicate both verbally and through the written word is at risk of becoming a lost art in the age of text messaging, email and instant messenger. There is something incredibly powerful in the ability to advocate for your clients (and in the greater scheme of life, yourself) in an effective, meaningful way. The field of public relations allows me to constantly hone this skill in a creative, dynamic and fast-paced environment while constantly learning about other businesses and industries.
Areas of Expertise and Interest
As a new BlissPR employee, I am enjoying getting my feet wet with a variety of professional and financial services clients in the insurance and banking spaces, and over the past few months I have developed a particular interest in marketing research services.
What I Did Before BlissPR
I graduated magna cum laude from Syracuse University’s S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications with a major in public relations. During my time at Syracuse, I was involved in several public relation initiatives for not-for-profits including The Everson Museum of Art and the St. Daniel School. I also spent a semester abroad in London where I worked on a public relations campaign for the non-for-profit organization Roots and Shoots.
What I Do for Fun
I love to cook, travel and read. I fell in love with the European way of life during my 5 months abroad in London, and I can’t wait to plan my next trip overseas. I jump at any and every opportunity to explore a new place, and as a new resident of New York, I am having a great time embracing the infinite adventures the city has to offer.
