Why PR?
I’ve always been a bit of a news junkie, and PR perfectly balances my need to stay plugged in with my love of research, communication and relationship building. The most rewarding part of PR is to learn something new every day from the talented journalists, top executives in professional services and my extremely bright colleagues here at Bliss.
Areas of Expertise and Interest
I am responsible for account management, media relations, digital strategy and writing for clients in the professional services. I have specific content expertise in the retail and technology sectors and have helped develop digital strategies for some of the firm's largest clients. I also help lead the firm's internal digital and social efforts.
What I Did Before BlissPR
There really is no “before BlissPR” for me because I started my career here as an intern the summer before my senior year in college. I graduated from Washington and Lee University in 2009 with a B.A. in Mass Communications in Politics. After moving to New York, I worked for a public relations firm specializing in consumer technology before happily returning for my “second tour” at Bliss.
What I Do for Fun
A Florida girl at heart, I enjoy anything that involves warm weather and the water. But as that is sometimes lacking in NYC, I have taken up exploring and enjoying the city with my husband. We love checking out the museums, summertime street fairs, and new pubs and restaurants. On any given fall Saturday, you can find me in Garnet cheering on my much beloved, and sometimes heartbreaking, Florida State Seminoles.
