Why PR?
I am actually the third generation of my family to practice public relations—which is pretty rare! From an early age, I was intrigued by the combination of verbal, analytical and presentation skills that the job requires. And some have pointed out that my collegiate theatre background was a useful way to learn how to tell a story.
Areas of Expertise and Interest
I wear a number of different hats at the firm. First, I develop and oversee implementation of strategy for large clients in financial and professional services, with a particular emphasis on the legal, insurance and consulting industries. I am also the firm’s Chief Media Trainer and am responsible for helping our clients maximize their direct interaction with the press. Finally, I am a member of the firm’s management committee and help to set future direction for the company.
What I Did Before BlissPR
I’ve enjoyed a long relationship with the firm, and have actually worked at BlissPR since I graduated from college in 1991. Prior to that, I served as Director of Public Relations for the Museum of Holography for two summers.
What I Do for Fun
My husband and I are busy raising three young boys, which means our weekends are full of soccer games, Thomas the Tank Engine and chocolate milk. In my spare time, I’m an avid reader and a pop culture fanatic.
