Senior Vice President, Director of Media Relations
Why PR?

You could call me a news junkie. In college, I was one of the few students who signed up for multiple subscriptions to daily newspapers—and, believe me, I was teased about it. After taking a few English classes with a concentration in communications, I realized that a career in PR—where I would help inform reporters and editors about issues that impact their readers’ lives—was the perfect fit.
Areas of Expertise and Interest
There’s nothing more satisfying than securing a challenging hit for a client—that’s what gets my blood pumping each day. As Director of Media Relations, I focus my energy on counseling clients and internal staffers on media strategy and pitch development. I have a particularly strong interest in our financial accounts, as I love to sift through analyst research notes and pick the brains of our investment banking clients.
I’m also heavily involved in media training, staff training/recruitment and new business development. What I Did Before BlissPR
While reading the New York Times one day during my senior year in college, I came across a classified ad for a small healthcare and consumer public relations firm. Six days after graduation, I began my career in PR.
After that, I moved on to a large international public relations firm and managed accounts for Discover, Procter & Gamble and Absolut Vodka. In 2000, I decided to try my hand at financial PR, joined BlissPR, left my vodka and laundry detergent days behind, and haven’t looked back since. What I Do for Fun
While I still love to travel, read and root for my Yankees, my time is mostly spent going to the park, reading Dr. Seuss and watching Baby Einstein as my activities are basically dictated by my little girl, Emma.
