Why PR?
PR combines my passion for journalism with the ability to directly support an array of clients across many industry sectors. I initially went to Michigan State with the idea of becoming a broadcast reporter but my career choice evolved throughout my time in college. Through my coursework and mentors I landed in the field of Public Relations and couldn’t be happier with my destination.
Areas of Expertise and Interest
My interests include the Real Estate & Economic Development sectors because I believe they make a significant impact in the lives of so many in terms of housing and job creation. My areas of expertise relate to marketing communications and the evolving platforms of social media.
What I Did Before BlissPR
I graduated from the School of Journalism at Michigan State University in the spring of 2010. Before joining BlissPR, I was an Account Intern for fellow Worldcom Partner Hermanoff Public Relations in Metro Detroit for a semester. While at Michigan State I also worked in the video department of the football team and was able to travel to every Big 10 campus, including several bowl games. During the summer of 2009, I worked with an up-and-coming environmentally friendly cleaning product company and helped them to organize a “Green Awareness” weekend with the Detroit Tigers at Comerica Park. For this campaign I used Twitter & other social media outposts to drive sales and publicize sustainability issues.
What I Do for Fun
I truly take pleasure in spending time outdoors whether it is running, biking, rollerblading or just relaxing with friends. For me, quality time with my family and friends is very important and I look to enjoy life to the fullest. Also, I’m a big fan of college football and basketball whether watching my Spartans on television or being there live in East Lansing, Mich.
