Intern Training Program
BlissPR is looking for rising college juniors and seniors to participate in our 9-week “for-credit” PR training program. The internship begins in early June and students must be eligible to receive college credit.
As a BlissPR intern, you’ll complete the same training program as our new entry-level employees. You’ll also become a full-time member of three BlissPR account teams, and have the opportunity to “give back” via a pro-bono project.
Weekly training sessions with experienced BlissPR professionals provide a strong PR foundation that will support your account work. Sessions progress from intro to PR basics and software training, to media relations, writing and new business development.
Daily account work will vary by team, but may include developing media lists, literature searches, editorial calendar monitoring and pitching, media pitching, press release/pitch writing, social media monitoring and engagement, participating in team meetings and status calls, research, and brainstorms.
Qualifications
Qualified interns must be entering their junior or senior year of college and be eligible to receive college credit for the program. An interest in public relations, journalism, or communications is essential! Past internship experience in PR or a related field is helpful but not necessary.
As former BlissPR interns will tell you, the more energy you put into this program, the more you will get out of it. Previously, our interns have had the opportunity to interact with major media and have garnered placements for clients in national business and trade publications. By the end of the program, we hope you will be seen as a valued member of your account teams and be able to perform at the associate account executive level. Truly outstanding interns may also be considered for full-time positions post-graduation.
